Abraham: "I'll Give Miranda Another Beating"
Collapse

He put Abraham in the hospital...I thought both fighters were very disappointing, but Miranda decisively do. He didn't so anything but throw a slew of awefully inaccurate punches. On Abraham the jury is still out, but I'm not pinning big hopes on him. Anyone claiming a 'beating' in favor of either fighter did not watch the same fight I saw.Comment

In order to issue ANOTHER beating, you have to give a beating in the first fight, which he did not.IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham has been surprised to hear that Edison Miranda can´t wait to get back in the ring with him - as if the "Battle of Wetzlar" was not enough of a lesson for the Colombian. [details]
At all.
He actully wanted to quit, his face was mangeled and he ran for the majority of the fights and got a hometown decision.Comment

Anyone who thinks Abe gave Miranda 'a beating' in the first fight is heavily biased or did not watch the fight. Get serious.
It was a good fight, but if anyone was handed a beating it was Abe. Not vice-versa.Comment

Abraham fought with a lot of heart in that fight, which was exciting, but he came far from giving Miranda a beating.
He's the one that took the beating in the fight.Comment

After being rushed to the hospital on a strecher in an ambulence Abraham had 22 screws and 2 titanium plates inserted in his jaw after 5 hours of emergency surgery. He than spent 24 hours in intensive care, and the following week in the hospital. As of last week his jaw is still looking swollen. Although he claims he can fight again by April, many doctors say he will never be the same if he ever does fight.
Miranda spent the night in his Hotel in Frankfurt with his girlfriend. Was on a plane 2 days later and back in Puerto Rico the following day relaxing on the beach. In 2 weeks he is fighting as the main event on HBO.
These are the facts of what each did after the fight. Regardless of who won or lost, you tell me who got handed the beating?Comment

Two punches caused abraham's injury, miranda did not give him a a beating at-all. It was a closely contested fight, i had it scored 115-114 for abraham without deductions but it could've gone either way. The 2 point deduction for the headbutt was justified because it was clearly malicious, regardless of whether it was hard, and the point taken for a low blow in the 7th was justified. The other two were borderline and i think abraham over-reacted in the 11th, but who could blame him??Comment
