Thanks for sharing and it's god to know there's others with an eye on this kid. He may be the future of he flyweight division.
I don't think it was too badly hurt but it was probably a case of "well that stings...lets see if I can do this one handed...never know when I might NEED to do it".

Unlikely he'll ever face Yaegashi as they are both Ohashi gym fighters (therefore forbidden to face each other) though of course one could leave Ohashi.

Anyway he'll be fighting Ryoichi Taguchi on August 25th for the Japanese Light Flyweight title. Taguchi is currently ranked #3 by the WBA and #11 by the WBO so a win for "Monster" would put him in line for a world title fight with either Roman Gonzalez, Kazuto Ioka or Donnie Nietes.

I'd heard strong rumours Gonzalez is moving up so a Japanese super fight with Ioka is a strong possiblity for Inoue or the Nietes fight if he wants to be one of (or even the first) Japanese fighter to become WBO champion (depending on how Yuzo Kiyota and Tomoki Kameda do in their up coming fights of course).

      thanks kebark.

Good to know he'll be back in the ring soon and in such a big fight. I don't think Iv'e seen Taguchi fight but it looks like he's fought decent opposition and boxrec has him rated #5 just behind Casimero.

I didn't realize Inoue and Yaegashi trained together, their styles would mesh well. Inoue can obviously punch and Yaegashi seems to always be exciting fights. Its good to know such a talented young fighter is getting quality sparring.

Some more exciting and similar news. Ryota Murata will make his professional debut on August 25, he will be fighting in a 6 round contest against OPBF middleweight champion Akio Shibata, a man Boxrec.com regard as the #16th best fighter at 160.

I saw that the other day. That's a very good opponent considering Murata is making his debut. So is Shibata's belt on the line? It's only a 6 rounder. Do yo know if Murata will be training in Japan or in the US. I can't image he can that great of sparring in Japan.

It's at 161 and 6 rounds so no belt will be on the line. He's meant to be sharing his time between the Teiken Gym in Japan and the Top Rank gym in the US.

At the press conference he did with Arum, Arum said that Murata's trainers will be Ismael Salas (best known for work with Guillermo Rigondeaux, Kazuto Ioka, Yuriorkis Gamboa and the Thailand National Amateur Team) and hall of famer Miguel Diaz (who has worked with a veritable who's who). Both of whom were selected by Teiken president Akihiko Honda.

That good to know. I wish Murata the best of luck. It would be great to see a Japanese make a name for himself outside of asia. Japan has produced some great fighters but because most of them 130 and below most of them don't get the credit they deserve IMO.

The up coming bouts of Inoue and Murata will both be on the same day (I though Inoue's was scheduled before then) they will BOTH be on Fuji TV.

The poster for the show is now on Fuji TV's website

If the rumours are true Ioka is set to vacate at 108 and Miyazaki is set to move to 108...Miyazaki v Inoue for the WBA 108 title is CERTAINLY not beyond reason!

Great news thanks for the update.

I wanted to post something in this thread after Naoya's last fight. But I still haven't finished watching it. I started watching it but I got sidetracked and was really paying attention.

Inoue will fight for the OPBF title on December 6th against Filipino Jerson Mancio. On the very same card Inoue's brother, Takuma, will debut.

If you want another Japanese youngster to keep an eye make a note of Kosei Tanaka, he debuts on November 10th against the #6 ranked WBO Minimumeight.
