make a poll and I'm sure majority will vote for Murray. Not sure how most of you count punches instead of watching boxing..anyways, I believe Murray had slight advantage over Sergio. maximum - draw, but 115-112? biased judges

But, back on topic.... I believe Murray won and martinez should of DEFINITELY lost that fight.

Martinez wouldn't be able to hold off Canelo if he couldn't handle Murray.

Thought Murray deserved the fight by a point or two. Unfortunately he was up against an old pro who - despite looking completely shot - retained sufficient ring smarts to steal one or more of the championship rounds by flicking out a completely ineffectual jab (in terms of damage) which nonetheless counted as a scoring punch.

It's difficult to criticise Murray but I do think he lacks the kind of champion's self-confidence which someone like Froch has in spades. The truth is Martinez - from quite early on - looked there for the taking but Murray hung back fearing a big counter. Two or three years ago I'd agree with Murray's tactics as Martinez has always possessed talent. But last weekend it appeared to me that the Argentine was looking to cash in on a pre-retirement payday.

Looking back now I reckon Murray is kicking himself.

I had the fight 115-112 to Murray, Martinez started off excellently then he just slumped down the later stages of the round and was hitting glove and not much of the target this is my personal opinion though.
On top of this the two knock-downs and well the punch stats don't mean everything I'm aware but I think it somewhat justifies me having Murray ahead, personally I believe in a neutral venue Martinez would of had that belt took off him.
Martin Murray fought similar to Felix Sturm pity he doesn't have that jab of his.

I had it tied going into the 12th rd, martinez just barely won the 12th. I think martinez may have hurt murray towards the end as he stopped engaging. Martinez has been one of my fav fighters last few years and he's been fun to watch but i think he doesn't have anything left in less he goes up against lesser competition.
