Not making it up, but thats the standard reply from people that don't know. You are right Brewster did fight in the US in 2008 so I give credit for the correction.
But he was suspended during the Klitschko fight

And as I said German comissions do not have to abide by US suspensions, there also states that do not.
Here is more on Brewster's defying the suspension and why all States don't comply.

Again, why do you think Brewster is fighting Germany?

""Federal law requires that states honor medical suspensions imposed on a fighter by another state," Lueckenhoff continued. "It's not hard to find out if a fighter is on medical suspension. It's right on the Internet. But last year alone, there were 24 violations by our own member commissions that I know of. And then you have a fighter like Lamon Brewster, who's on medical suspension. He goes over to Germany and fights for a world title, still on suspension, and HBO televises it. What kind of message does that send?"

It's already Nov. 8th. Who won?
Originally posted by Carnivore View PostThe fight with *****ko has been confirmed for Nov 7, and Helenius is still scheduled for Dec 5 vs. Brewster.
But if Helenius doesn't win on Nov 7, they'll likely get someone else to fight Brewster on Dec 5, maybe Dettweiler or Pulev.
If Helenius wins both fights, he'll be 11-0 and considered a bona fide heavyweight contender.

Why is he still fighting? That Barney Gumble look a like heavyweight had Hepatits so he last fought OUTSIDE of the U.S. in his home country I think.
Is the U.S. still a free country? A lot of people here getting held back, why?
Barack just opened up the U.S. to HIV postive visitors to come in the country, just recently, yet Americans with HIV and AIDS have always traveled outside the U.S. freely (to spread the disease). How hypocrite is this?
I'm not too familiar with who Brewster's upcoming opponents are, never saw their fights. I say put TUA in there and KTFO all these bums!!!

Germany is the only place he can fight til he reapplys for a licence in the U.S. He was under that suspension when he got a title rematch with Klitschko(in spite of the fact Brewster had not fought in a year and lost his last fight). German comissions are not subject to the ABC rules(US commisions). So Brewster might be more on vacation more than reserrecting his boxing career. That may be how the promoter and managers may view it if they take this bout.

"Finnish heavyweight Robert Helenius (10-0, 6 KOs) followed Kubrat Pulev by making his step up as well. Helenius took on Ukrainian stylist Taras *****ko (26-4, 12 KOs) and stopped him in three bloody rounds. The Finnish fighter controlled the action from the outside with his hard jab. He also used a left hook to cut the Ukrainian’s face badly in different spots though *****ko was never been seriously rocked throughout the fought rounds. However, the bout was stopped between the third and the fourth rounds as *****ko, who was destroyed by Denis Boytsov in his last fight, was bleeding too much to be allowed to continue."
