    I would have loved to see what more Les Darcy, Marcel Cerdan, and Salvador Sanchez could have gone on to accomplish.

    As it is they are already boxing legends.

      15 years and 1114 fights I don't think Cerdan had that much left for us to miss. Maybe one rematch with LaMotta.

        He was only 33 when he passed away.

        Sugar Ray Robinson was fighting Gene Fullmer in his 40s.

          114 fights over 15 years is not a shortened career in any era; 33 was old back then.

            Regardless, I would have liked to see more of him at the world championship level beyond the Tony Zale and Jake LaMotta fights.
