  • Did Lennox actually have a Glass chin?

I think It's obvious that he did.

But some seem to think otherwise.

His chin literally shattered like glass the two time he actually got hit properly.

Hell YEAH he did!!! And he would hold guys down and drop his weight on them to tire them out. Against Tyson he was warned a dozen times tell FINALLY the points started coming off. That to me is cheating... Try fighting nfor 12 rounds carrying a GROWN ass man most of the time. Your DEAD tired after a few rounds.

I don't think I'd refer to it as glass, probably just average. Tua, Ruddock, and late career Tyson were able to land on him and he stayed sturdy, so I think that gets him above at least the glass rating.

Thats not to write that he was another iron chinned Chuvalo, I think a really good way to describe it would be enigmatic. He took enough shots in his career that I give him more credit than being 'Glass Jawed' ie Tommy Morrison

That seems to be big heavies in general to me. Back when Jack Johnson was BIG, he used to hold and lean on guys all day. Tyson Fury gets away with it now too often- and I got nothing against either of them.

I think they need to start warning and taking points away wayyy sooner. They're using it not to catch a break or work some inside game. They grab the smaller guy, drop weight until told breakup rinse and repeat. By round 6 your dead tired. From carrying 250lbs++

I don't understand why it's allowed soo much??? IMO it's cheating. And excessive holding is a illegal.

              Clinching is not.

I agree wholeheartedly. I think the refs take the stance that, "they don't want to impact the outcome of the fight" so they are hesitant to take points. The problem is, as you noted, by not enforcing the rules early on they ARE impacting the outcome of the fight- in a negative way.

His chin was solid. I saw a video years ago that showed Lewis walking through big shots. I'll try to find it.

(Found it. I'm on mobile, so can't embed.)
