Here are a few answers to the same question, some of them interesting:
Answer (1 of 28): Tyson was scared of Butterbean. Just kidding. Butterbean never even came close to cracking the top 10 contenders for the HWT division. Nearly all of Butterbean’s opponents were creampuffs whom he fought on the undercards of bigger fights. Probably the greatest opponent Butterbe...
I tend to agree with the theory according to which fighting Butterbean was a "no win" proposition for the names you mention. Had they knocked him out, they would have been derided for having wasted their time with a circus act of sorts, iconic figure or not, big money or not.
Had one of them lost, heaven forbid...Last edited by Tatabanya; 01-02-2021, 02:14 PM.Comment

Then again, I can't remember anyone at that time thinking that they "ducked" Butterbean. It's just that those fights were never seriously discussed.Last edited by Tatabanya; 01-02-2021, 02:40 PM.Comment

I'm curious to know what you think the outcome would have been.
