    Lomachenko lost a narrow decision.

I know he doesn't put on pajamas and robot dance with Indian Gurus, and he probably couldn't tell you the difference between a bris and a mitzvah, but something tells me Andre Ward might know more about Boxing than you do. Surely, you'll object to that, but suffer me the suggestion. He had it 114-114. A slight strategic error on Lomachenko's part.

Robinson was TKO'd. He actually made adjustments early to compensate for the heat, but it was not enough. And he really didn't have a proper contingency plan. His plan was for Maxim to fold... when he didn, Ray did.

Tale of two cities: One guy made adjustments and hear the final bell; the other guy kept doing the same damn thing and was STOPPED. Ray also retired after that fight. In his prime, no less. When he came back, he'd also lose to guys like Carmen Basillio and Gen Fullmer. Can you point me to anyone that bad fighting for titles today?

I get it, this isn't about Boxing History for you, this is about you getting recognized. But seriously, George, this isn't the way to address your daddy issues. Get outside, take a stroll through Central Park. Interact with other people - one's who don't try to be the next Ralph Macchio.

Lol. Hey casual...its not about the judges, see? The judges could have had it a Loma win, so what? he obviously was handled. Much like Floyd was handled by Madanna. I happen to have the utmost respect for Ward... a fighter you could watch who can handle adjustments.... Robinson lost few times Rusty and he beat the guys you talk of, often more than once. See how that works?

If you had a brain you would realize that the sheer average losses that Robinson suffered was so small, that it hardly matters who he lost to. But you take one fight, you put a spin on it...

its all about the history to me actually troll... Your race based pronouncements have been exposed, its an agenda for you. I don't care about race.

It's cute watching you try to be taken seriously.

        • Loma failed to impose his will on Lopez; Lopez imposed his will on Loma. Loma failed; his was not the performance of a champion, certainly not the performance of an ATG.

It was a two round 'fight,' the 11th to Loma and the 12th to Lopez. The rest of the 'boxing match' was Loma being neutralized by a superior opponent. Pretty much a one sided affair.

Ward's scoring was as much a WBC shill as (Lady) Letterman's score was a Bob Arum shill. (Arum sees Lopez as his future, Loma is on his way out.)

Regardless it was Lopez's night; for Loma one has to make excuses, for Lopez one doesn't!

A better performance by Loma against a very dangerous opponent than Pep's against a guy nicknamed "the anvil".

You guys DO realize fighters lose right? Often it happens when fighting bigger men, more familiar with your style than you are with theirs.

this post should be engraved on Rusty's forhead, or at least on his porch off the Paramus.

Lopez is 23. Hardly a kid.

I know you don't know much about Boxing, despite basically living here. But a majority of great fighters actually accomplished most of their greatness by their mid 20's, and some would see their careers dim by 23.

Obviously fighters are brought along slower today, but Lopez was well seasoned in the Ammies.

Being a relative novice actually worked in Lopez's favor. Everyone expected to play to a specific script, and he didn't. He actually showed composure and depth that hadn't been previewed in his limited 15 fight career.

And again, this was a big Lightweight fighting a natural Featherweight. Age isn't particualry signficant when there's a real disparity in size.

Would you be shocked if Lomachenko were KO'd by an 19 year old Tyson?

I mean, not YOU specifically, all sorts of crazy sh'it goes through your head, but a normal functioning man would never even think to make that fight, Loma's doom would be so obvious. Unless of course you could teach him some secret, centuries-old ninjitsu death touch techniques... how's about it?
