As far as the gloves go.....it makes much more sense Lewis made a small incision in each glove and used tweezers to pick out the horse hair. The glove were most likely fine when received in the locker room before the fight. Very unlikely a Latino seamstress made a custom pair, especially since the commission hands out the gloves.

We can't say with any authority, but I would bet it happened plenty of other times. I doubt it was the first time and the just got caught. Just like I don't think Margarito cheated for the first time against Shane. He just got caught.

The gloves are checked immediately so the fighter can know the gloves are accepted in advance and they're placed in a presumably locked room. Locks have multiple keys...Duh!

Why would a commish employee want to check approved gloves the night of the fight when he's just a hired stooge.

Whatever, from the time of possession by the commish to the first bell, the responsibity of the commish is to insure fair protocols are followed that was not the case in this disaster.

U do realize that with much more security that banks are still robbed from both inside by employees and by outsiders and sometimes by cusumers.
