I agree he learned from his mistakes. However, the choice for an opponent was a poor one for him. Brewster had the right ingredients ( Top chin and power with an aggressive style ) to pull off the upset.

Like you said he learned, won the re-match, and the top gun in the division for 10 years.

Wlad Klitschko on a good night gives any a potential loss .

There was some talk from a poster here that the first Wlad-Brewster fight was fixed and Wlad was drugged.

I chose to rewatch the fight again and get reacclimated with it.

From what I saw, Wlad was loading up on everything and teeing off on Brewster. But you could see as early as the second round he was starting to get tired, and the HBO announcers were commenting on it as well. By the middle of the fifth he was exhausted and Brewster caught and hurt him bad and Wlad was unable to recover and the fight was waived off.

After the fight Wlad went to the hospital and his blood sugar was nearly twice the norm. No steroids were detected, but I've long suspected him of using steroids. My own opinion of course, with no proof.

Wlad later had an independent doctor check his blood and urine. Again, nothing fishy but the doctor suggested he could have been poisoned, but there was no evidence. Wlad had the test transferred to another facility and the samples got lost.

In my opinion, Wlad gassed. He than got hurt and couldn't recover. His chin was always suspect, and his powers of recovery were as well. I think those things have been well documented.

The possibility he could have been poisoned is there, but I just don't see it. Wlad was a great fighter after his losses to Sanders and Brewster because he learned how to pace himself better and hold more.

What do you think? Was this fight fixed?

Agreed especially with the bolded part. That was only a year or so removed from the Sanders loss and around the time Manny Steward was introduced as trainer. I think mentally, Wlad was still unsure of himself and was doubting himself/fighting demons from that loss. I feel like he hit his stride after the Peter fight.

I never said anything about Rockins opinions on you nor cared for anyone’s ,did that go over your head because I posted that ,he even backtracked on his own when he spotted you the thread starter in the other section, as though he basically said oops and apologized because he saw it was you starting some high school girl tiffs of fantasy ? Ha

If you weren’t such a silly Billy you wouldn’t have such a clouded judgment thinking your reputation here is what everyone fights over , seems like you’re the only one that brings mine and yours up as a competition ,one you are only competing in , you’re not the most liked by everyone and that really gets to you ,that is what is called an ego but you really just need to move it along in this section though call it quits .

I have the most experience in the sport on this site, I believe. And most of what I post is not related to boxing. So why holler at Billeau for not posting about strictly boxing? Just sayin'.......Rockin'

Well because the subject is me ,I’m sure you aren’t a little kid making threads about one poster and about no logical subject about it . I think you would be smart enough to actually bring up facts about the person so you wouldn’t look deranged ? Just my two cents .

He hasn’t all but maybe once replied back about actual boxing awhile ago and like the silly Billy he is flew off the handle when corrected . Do you go on the general section and talk rubbish to someone and never about the topic , I never seen it but that’s what he does with me because he cannot cope with another poster smarter then he is . His ego has got him here .
