Surprising since Louis had a massive skull with a thick square jawline. That's usually the prototype of fighters with great chins.
Being technically sound doesn't ensure competent defense.

I'm not sure where you got that idea.

Bob Satterfield was cursed with a glass jaw. Good fighter, good power, but couldn’t take it on the chin.

Not to disagree just to disagree, but I do.

He didn't have the best defense. And he fought tremendous punchers. The Sanders he fought that night would've stopped almost anyone else you could've drawn from the annals of Boxing to face him.

Yeah, i'm not sure I'd consider him good , though. He definitely wasn't great.
A lot of them at that time were like that.
Satterfield probably is the best choice of the bunch, but others were like him:
          Cleveland Williams
          Lloyd Marshall, maybe even Bivins

Lots of bad fighters, not necessarily all chinny, but bad fighters who built careers off of nothing more than a fearsome punch.

This is the obvious choice but since no one else has mentioned him outright as having the worst chin, I’ll do it.

            Amir Khan.

            That is all.

Kahn and Satterfield are both great choices.

And thick legs. I'm surprised he hit the canvas as much as he did. He recooperated quite well, and actually didn't get hit too often either early one, but when he did he went straight down. It's a good point.
