I think Rocky beats them all but not easily.

Basically, I think Galento makes a valiant effort.

I'd favor Marciano over Max Baer. Baer wasn't the poster boy for good defense. In fact, I'd say that Rocky was better defensively.

            What's wrong with his defense?

How does Marciano get to him?

How does Marciano survive his offense?

None of these scrubs and scrub champions is beating the Marciano. Who was too clever for them all!

Could he make it through this Murderers Row unbeaten?
Marciano showed that he could deal with skill. I am trying to recollect if he ever dealt with size? The type of size that would perhaps diminish his attacks. We have to be careful in making assumptions given Marciano's record. I will say that he was one in a million considering what he could do given his constitution. Rocky was a swarmer who had a golden punch...We have to consider both aspects when we look at these match ups.

Max Schmeling: I think Marciano overwhelms Schmelling. Louis did... Precedent is important. Schmelling has a limit it would seem regarding being pressured. Marciano swarms and shuts the German down.

Max Bauer. Bauer had the talent to beat many but at his best, does he have the ability defensively? I don't think so. I would give him a puncher's chance... against a guy with a great chin.

Primo Carnera. This is our unknown variable. How would Marciano deal with the size of a man who many believe had real skills? I give him a chance and would even bet that he might be Marciano's achilles heel. Im not seeing how Marciano gets to Primo. Kind of a bad match up. Marciano does not have the reach really and Primo could conceviably use his reach and size... Ill give Primo this one so I can argue with someone lol.

Jack Sharkey No way no how...aint happening, Ill bet the farm on this one. Sharkey at his best would get blown away by marciano. Marciano was a straight our swarmer, not a puncher/swarmer like Dempsey and he would be in Sharkey's azz from round one til the inevitable.

Toney Galento... Another good one Ben! Another guy railoaded because he was a ****er and did not look like charles atlas. Of all of these I would pay to see this one! Very hard but lets try to sus this out:

If we interchange each man its fairly obvious that Galento Would lose to many of Marciano's opponents. He showed why against Louis, namely he could be broken down eventually and boxed if the fighter was an ATG capable of being good enough to do so. But that tells us very little because first of all, Marciano fighting toney's opponents doesn't tell me much...just doesn't.

Toney is bigger than Marciano. I do not know what they weighted, but one can see that Toney is a bit bigger. Toney has a big strong stomach and it protects his head well...Listen look carefully at two ton Toney. He is built like a power lifter, one of the strongest athletes with the most useful strength. If we look at cars: marciano is a supercharged 4 cylinder that keeps coming, Galento is a eight cylinder with power...

So essentially we have two guys who keep coming, Marciano has more stamina, but Toney has Stamina and more power. This one is close!

I can't call this one... The real Two ton fighting dirty, being bigger and perhaps stronger than Marciano, versus a man who could take a beating and keep coming, but could he hurt Toney enough to stop him from coming back? I don't know...

I give Sharkey the best chance at beating him. I even favor him to win actually.

When did Louis da Ox overwhelm Moxie!?!?!?

Baer needed two broken hands for a prime Louis to beat him. Even then he gave Joe a scare, and showed plenty of defense. How does Marciano - floored by Moore, no less - even find the opportunity to go on the offensive?

You'd bet on Marciano beating Sharkey, even though Sharkey could actually hang with real Heavyweights?
Marciano would've been killed in there with Dempsey. But somehow going life and death with Ezzard Charles proves Rock's better!?

Why do you guys make things up?

It's nice knowing you post here.

But really, why do dismiss the Maxes?

Have you seen the REFURBISHED footage of Baer? I kinda feel Fake *** doesn't fight Marciano, he ****s him. Even when he was letting Braddock hit him (Baer threw that fight) it had no effect. Louis unlosed holy hell on Baer to put him away. You get exhausted watching it. Marciano would see his life flash before him.

The way Schmeling handled every other swarmer he met, i'm really not sure Rocky doesn't look terrible - in victory, or defeat. I concede that even though Schmeling is better, on film, Rocky looks like a bad match for him.
