If this current nightmare should last two years . . .

If this current nightmare should last two years will we see the entire fight game diminish to 20% or even 10% of what it currently is?

    In both quality and quantity.

It will be easier for the leagues (NFL/NBA) to retool themselves, but boxing may be sent reeling backwards in a manner that may take a decade to recover.

I think boxing would actually be easier to sustain. It's an individual sport. Team sports cannot practice social distancing. I suspect their will be more outdoor venues and perhaps fights where crowd noise and a virtual audience is streamed into the background.

Yes, agreed. Logistically it might be the easiest to 'put on an event' when compared to the others major sports. (I don't consider beach volleyball a major sport even if NBC and the Olympics do.)

What I was concerned with is the lack of collected money interests. E.g. Television and the NFL and advertisers have a major interest in running games as loss leaders if they have to and have the finances to whether this storm; starting right back at the top once the smoke clears.

Boxing (big fights) is often dependent on the casinos/******** for its start-up money. With the casinos, they only venture into big fights after they are looking to put the icing on an already successful cake. Slots are their bread and butter.

They may put boxing on the back burner; live ******** may shift to online events and Boxing's ability to "draw in betters" may become irrelevant to them for a while.

Dana White's already scheduled 3 UFC MMA events for this month, starting May 9th.

He seems to think PPV money is just fine. He's also got sponsorship, from ads all over the mat to Jon Anik shouting 15 second reminders about a crappy vodka company in the middle of his commentary. Right, Jon, I care how long the crap vodka company you shill has been in business.

Not every fight takes place in Vegas. Yes, a super-fight that makes each boxer $10 million might not fly without a crowd, but how many of those fights are there? It sure ain't Canelo-GGG 3. And maybe Fury-Joshua are rich enough that they'd fight more for the bragging rights than the purse.

PS, I'm thrilled there's NO audience for Dana's ground-n-pound games, as I'm sick of hearing drunken howler monkeys going "Woooooo" because there might be a few moments without a blood spatter. It would be a disaster if boxing fans started acting (and sounding) that ******.

          - -Nobody knows how bad this virus contamination is, but in the US we can start with greater metro NYCity and work from there.

Coincidentally NJ/NY some of the worst commishes with mobbed up fighters in history.

Big international travel and migration destination.

How many renters and homeowners tossed has yet to be tallied, but I'd suggest the big bank real estate fraud played out internationally first kicked off in 2007 that played a role in the ***** election.

We do know that most of the damage is in a few states. People will have to refuse to tolerate it. There is no other way. And yes, these crises concentrate the wealth further. Banks are supposed to be there for us, of course we allow them instead to take our resources, or...one day we don't.
