    Patterson or Tyson?

Floyd Patterson won the HW title when he was approximately 21 years and 11 months old.

Mike Tyson when he defeated Trevor Berbick was approximately 20 years and five months old.

Mike Tyson is the "Undisputed" HW Champion (Tony Tucker) at approximately 21 years and one month old.

When Mike Tyson defeated Michael Spinks he was approximately 22 years old.

So who actually is the youngest man to win the HW title?

It was obvious why HBO wanted Tyson to be that guy; what is the consensus here?

I go by lineal, but have no problem with anyone who wants to go with undisputed and call Tyson the youngest. I still say Patterson.

        - -U asking how many boxing experts can flagellate each other on U pinhead ain't consensus.

Mike did something infinitely greater than any dullard boxing expert could conceive of in Pattersons day.

Tyson was probably #1 in 1986-87, and seized several alphabet titles.
And in 1988, he relieved Spinks of the World title.
