    underappreciated fighters

We often talk about fighters who are underrated, but there is another odd group to recognized, underappreciated fighters.

I believe Fritzie Zivic fits this category. I am not saying he is better than he is remembered, but when you bring up that old adage: "He fought everybody" it truly applies to Zivic.

Zivic doesn't seemed to have ducked anyone. He beat a few greats, and lost to more.

      Lots of great fighters.

Usually fighters aren't loved because they're great but because an unwanted contingent of society strongly identifies with them, and is vocal in their support.

Under appreciated fighters were great Latin fighters of the 70’s and 80’s back than the boxing media only cared about Heavy Weights and Sugar Ray Leonard

I admit that I don't really follow the divisions bellow featherweight but are you saying that Monzon and Duran, Alexis Arguello and others weren't appreciated in their day?

I'm not saying they weren't - but it seems really surprising.

Michael Spinks. I know he's highly ranked but when a discussion about the best fighters of his era comes up he is rarely mentioned.

                He's actually really good.

He doesn't get the credit he deserves for dethroning Armstrong.

He was very good. But he fought too often and didn't behave professionally outside the ring. The antithesis of Floyd
