Is Fury a top 10 all-time great?

These are some of the fighters who get ranked in the top 10 by people.
Rid**** Bowe: Beat an undersized Holyfield and literally nobody else and ducked every other challenge.
-Mike Tyson: Never beat a HOF/Great fighter who was in his prime. Faced several who he lost to though.
-Wlad Klitschko: Only great win was against very undersized Byrd, and Fury beat Wlad.
Sonny Liston: Beat an undersized Patterson and some other good, not great opponents.
We can go further and look at Larry Holmes, his only great wins were a past it Norton and maybe Shavers? And he gets ranked top 3 at times. Jack Johnson beat a string of smaller fighters in his time and an old Jeffries. Others like Dempsey, Marciano and even Louis don't even have THAT amazing of a resume.
I think that Tyson Fury, a two time undisputed HW champion(in the 21st century mind you) with wins over prime Wlad and Wilder, stacks up pretty good.
The criteria to become an ATG HW isn't that difficult.Comment

Tyson Fury is a Top-25 Heavyweight.
He is outside the Top-10, but is somewhere in the top-25.
Wladimir Kiltschko is still ranked ahead of Tyson Fury.Comment

I like his new approach as well... Just thought he fought Wallin well. Fury also used body punches in the past.Comment

Fury has a lot of skills he can use. He definitely fought Wilder differently...Most of it was where he put his weight on his shots. Fury leaned on cunningham, I.e. he has used his weight before...But there is no question that his trainer got him to understand how to tilt more forward and (probably) how to step in sychronicity with the shot.
I like his new approach as well... Just thought he fought Wallin well. Fury also used body punches in the past.
He is a huge man who can move and box. Against Wilder he showed he could sit down on his punches as well.
He is a remarkably versatile and intelligent heavyweight.Last edited by ShoulderRoll; 02-28-2020, 08:54 PM.Comment

Absolutely. I think it did him very well to train to sit down on his shots. Very talented...very trainable.Comment

He's an All Time Great but without no title defenses is he top 10 ? No. I think he would be the champion in other eras to but he would still need some title defense to be a top 10 ,hes the most talented 6'9 footer so maybe though ? Id say no ,he needs to defend a title at least once, its crazy I don't recall a great fighter like him not having a title defense ,is there ?Comment
