Ali is not a Hw analog of Hearns or Benitez. There's nothing disputable about that.

And yet, despite being less skilled and less physically imposing than those men were, Ali had enough in him to overcome Foreman.

So while Wilder may not be a Hearns either, it is clear his physical stature and power are reminiscent of that Hearns enjoyed over Cuevas and Duran (much better fighters than Foreman).


This really isn't that difficult. You're either playing dumb because you've exhausted all other defenses. Or you're simply in over your head.

I Just saw this thread browsing and I rarely come here because the reason im about to post. That is Ali wasn't near operating with movement like Fury is now at that age, he took a lot of punishment ,Fury hasn't . Its a bad style to because Tyson is awkward and Ali wouldn't be able to get much direct shots on a big skilled 6'9 guy like that .

Just my two cents its just a real bad match at any time really for Ali that shouldn't take away from who he defeated ,don't get crazy I see how you guys go to the the modern forum or whatever you call it and make no real debate and attack . Ha

There was never a more protected HW than Ali. Fixes in his favor, judges giving talking him gift-wrapped decisions. He made a lot of money for the networks and promoters and no one was going to risk derailing the money train. Fury would not gas himself out by falling for the rope-a-dope tactic, and Ali would be without any of the height and reach advantage he had over most of his best wins. He was not a body puncher, and I can't see him working his way to the inside to get to Fury, which is really his only chance. Fighting from the outside it's Fury's night.

your going to have to re think your decision when Joshua knocks fury out.....hold on with a fantasy fight till fury has actually faced and beaten a good well rounded boxer & puncher who is approaching his prime......if he beats Joshua handily then we can start with fury besting all time greats

Part of it is my fault. I'm too hard on them. But lots of insane shyte is said here and goes unchecked.
They compete to see who can make the most off-base post. And get pissed at me when I provide fact-checking.
