Facts are what count when judging the abilities of past greats. looking with a cold eye, mike was great fighter but was found wanting a bit in some departments. Lewis less so and has many advantages h2h. Lewis at his best takes some beating against anyone really,
    - -Ok, we get your embarrassment of being unable to adress the header, that being 88 Mike vs 98 Lewis.

Mike had an all time year. Lewis had a milquetoast year.

Change the header to Mike last fight vs Lewis best year, and you got a weiner.

Need a new thread, not you as a 50 year old retread blowing beets every day!

Lewis stayed am so he could try for Olympic gold . It was always a goal for him .

On to the topic. This is a hard fight to call . Lennox in 1998 was a beast who was fighting long with huge power . Altho it's hard to pick against a 1988 tyson ( which iam not ) . I think if these guys fought 3 times lewis would def win one . Lewis pre 1995 is a diff story ....tyson starches that guy imo 9/10 times

Mike would win this. Lennox was great, but there were times he was too cautious, and he couldn't go for broke. Mike was explosive, and could end this within 3 rounds.

Lewie never defended his unified title and retired days before being stripped of last.

Tyson was a record setter being the first to unify the fractured div with 4 titles till Wlad came along. Set the hvy record for purses before he was 23.

Hey, it's ok to be soft these days if that's what you are.
I agree Lennox Lewis most overrated

A prime tyson had issues with tony tucker. Lewis was much better than tucker but similar in stature and would have beaten mike imo.
What is Lewis best win a washed tyson a 38 old holyfield lmao hahahahhaha

In 98 Lewie got put in all kinds of trouble by Briggs who had last been seen fleeing for his misbegotten life vs Foreman.

The tko stoppage doesn't tell that the now weary Briggs missed a punch that comically screwed him into the ground to get the fight stopped by the ref.

Then Lewie looked like dump vs Mavrovic who easily went the distance and quit boxing he was so disgusted with the decision.

Mike fought Lar, Tubbs, and Spinks, none of whom had ever been KOed, two now residing in the HOF.

He walked thru them red hot knife thru butter style.

OP could pick a better yr for Lewie!
I see you're trying to rewrite history again. Mavrovic didn't retire because of the decision, he retired because of injuries and sickness. To bad to. Even though he lost to Lewis he was a true up and Comer and could have had a very fine career.

                33 years, 6'5", 84" reach

That juiced up version of Lewis would beat "prime" Tyson providing he could make it out of the first 3-4 rounds.

Either guy on their best day is capable of winning against any heavyweight you put in front of them. Both are monsters at their highest point.

Who exactly did "prime" Mike beat? Holmes coming off 2 losses, and Spinks, a light-heavyweight with a paper-thin resume. The same "prime" Mike lost to Douglas, who was hardly a world-beater, was he? Asian hoes, doe! Mike Tyson fans have longer lists of excuses than Wilder. Holyfield stood up to the bully and made him look foolish, twice. Mike Tyson is on the Chisora level. Not in Lewis' class. Nash out.
