    - -Play out like the Fat Lar fight with Lewie crucified on the canvas.

In 1988 the only controversies Mike ever had was pantytwists moaning every time a stinker/spoiler lasted the distance. Lewie had already been cracked with the first of what would become a pair of one punch KOs. And then fights where he looked like a fainting goat.

Don't care if someone picks Lewie, but I'll pick you apart if you're gonna be ****** about it. I figure this is a 90-10 fight for Tyson, meaning 90% of the time you make a bonanza on Tyson against 10% losses.

        What grade U in?

Tyson 3 of 3 consecutive fights easy $$$
Haha if we go by that rational lets compare Ruddock performances or holyfield?

Tyson looked impressive but against fairly average opponents. Not his fault off he beat all the guys around when he came on the scene but as soon as he came up against big guys who weren't scared and fought back hard - see douglas, holy etc, he lost.

He also never won a fight he looked like he was up against it in. He was a classic bully fighter and when in trouble never found the way to win. Lewis on the other hand did on more than one occasion.

I grew up watching mike and he was hero of mine as he rejuvenated a poor heavy division but lewis was a better heavy no question. He beat better men and had a better career. He also has all the advantages both physical and mental. He beats mike 3/3

          - -Lewie set no never to be broken records and never once defended his unified title.

Not Mikes fault when Mike did these things, Lewie, Field, and Big Dummy weren't even rated much less fighting.

Everything that happened after 1988 had mike training and fighting on dangerously strong experimental psycho sedatives using DKing stooges for trainers/mgr instead of his deceased HOF team during his mental prime.

In short, he was being propped up as the biggest PPV cartoon villain of the day years after he could have retired on the $50mil retirement King stole from him.

Never did say what grade you in.

Lewis' quality of opposition was fantastic and he seldom gets credit for it. I notice that with Bowe and Tyson there are those who make excuses for them... There were even those who thought Lewis "ducked" Ruiz lol. The hate for Lewis is pathological. It is not rational half the time.

              - -Gonna try to make it easy for the boxing challenged-

In 98 Lewie got put in all kinds of trouble by Briggs who had last been seen fleeing for his misbegotten life vs Foreman.

The tko stoppage doesn't tell that the now weary Briggs missed a punch that comically screwed him into the ground to get the fight stopped by the ref.

Then Lewie looked like dump vs Mavrovic who easily went the distance and quit boxing he was so disgusted with the decision.

Mike fought Lar, Tubbs, and Spinks, none of whom had ever been KOed, two now residing in the HOF.

He walked thru them red hot knife thru butter style.

OP could pick a better yr for Lewie!

What grade? Im a 50 year old bloke with a degree and a full time managers job, Not sure how thats relevant. I did say i was a big fan of iron mike growing up so obvs im not a kid. these drugs things sound like excuses to me. Facts are what count when judging the abilities of past greats. looking with a cold eye, mike was great fighter but was found wanting a bit in some departments. Lewis less so and has many advantages h2h. Lewis at his best takes some beating against anyone really,

Lennox and Evander could box and/or brawl with the best. Ali was Ali.
Agree with you on this. Well stated.

Lewis beats a prime Tyson as he aged and was trained by emmanuel steward. Just look at the Lewis vs Tua fight. It would be a repeat of that fight. For Tyson to have any chance he would need to have Rooney is his corner. The only question that comes to my mind is the actual Tyson vs Lewis fight in 2003. Tyson was catching Lewis in round 1 when he tried to punch until Lewis clipped him with that giant uppercut. If tyson had rooney is his corner giving him number combinations for punches like he learned from Cus and wasn't on drugs before the fight maybe Tyson could have got him early. The biggest factor is that Lewis was more mentally stable than tyson ever was. With Tyson he needed to be trained kept in a cage, then on fight night release him and let him fight. Then put him back in the cage again. Lol

Lewis wins. To good for Tyson, would be exciting for a while, eventually Lewis s punches break down his man. Lennox by 11 round ko.
