Fury DESTROYS any version of Foreman.
I did not compare him to Morrison in any capacity, I was trying to make the point that if Morrison could win a safety first type fight, there is absolutely no reason that Fury, the much much better fighter couldn't do so.

Hey man, the thread topic is talking about 90's Foreman, not prime or peak or young or ver 1.0. So that is the only Foreman I am personally talking about.

I was directing that to the topic but I guess it's a fair question. I assumed that people would want to see the best version of Foreman versus Fury not when he was way past prime.

          - -Blunt Force George who emasculated Field and Ali would do the same to Fury.

Not that George would get the political decision, but more like losing the battle before winning the war.

But even an earlier version of himself:

            Dodged Quarry

            Fumbled and bungled against Peralta.

            Was stopped by feather-fisted Ali.

Was taken to the limit by Lyle

            Lost to Young.

His greatest achievement? Beating the ghost of (the much smaller) Joe Frazier.

              Fair enough.

              Morrison ran scared.

Foreman of the Cooney fight kills him.

He'd also kill Moorer and Briggs.

While I wouldn't pick him to beat Holyfield (or any elite Heavyweight of that era), i'm certain it would have been epic on the level of the Bowe fights.

Foreman was quick and hungry that night.

You know what the situation kinda vaguely reminds me of is how at the beginning of Hopkins vs Trinidad, Lampley is making mention of the fighter meetings in which Hopkins talks about De La Hoya vs Trinidad, and how he felt it pretty obvious that Tito had little answers for Oscars boxing, while Oscar was still being semi offensive with it, i would have to imagine. But Lampley paraphrases Hopkins as saying something to the effect of "I'm no De La Hoya, but I can do what Oscar did..." Somewhat similar, but obviously Fury is gonna be able to do what won Morrison that fight against Ver2.0 George, but I think Fury also could totally be capable of "concocting" his own spin on the formula, if you will. But again, I think a lot would have to do with whether he is gonna respect Foreman's punch or not. Just opinions. Again, no harm, no foul

So you admit he was the product of a shyte era, and has no business entering the ring with Fury.

This might be your first intelligent and well-informed post.
