Have some people taken leave of their senses?? Equating how a 40 year old fighter overweight and slow did against Moorer and Morrison as somehow a distillation of his career is astounding. Think about this, would the Foreman who fought Moorer and Morrison beat an earlier version of himself. No way in hell.Comment

I was directing that to the topic but I guess it's a fair question. I assumed that people would want to see the best version of Foreman versus Fury not when he was way past prime.Comment

Not that George would get the political decision, but more like losing the battle before winning the war.Comment

Dodged Quarry
Fumbled and bungled against Peralta.
Was stopped by feather-fisted Ali.
Was taken to the limit by Lyle
Lost to Young.
His greatest achievement? Beating the ghost of (the much smaller) Joe Frazier.Comment

Morrison ran scared.
Foreman of the Cooney fight kills him.
He'd also kill Moorer and Briggs.
While I wouldn't pick him to beat Holyfield (or any elite Heavyweight of that era), i'm certain it would have been epic on the level of the Bowe fights.
Foreman was quick and hungry that night.Comment

Yup all of those guys including Ron Lyle, Ken Norton and the rest of the HOF fighters he beat.Comment
