  • Greatest Offensive Boxer Ever?

What boxer had the best offense ever?

However you define it, whether on completeness (has to be well rounded) or they can have holes in their game but are compensated by greatness elsewhere (great power and combos but average jab). You can focus on skill alone or let athleticism play a role. Focus on their peak, or whole career- up to you.

All I hope for is you show your work (explain why). Interested to read differing thoughts.

    Pacquiao

Workrate, speed, accuracy, power, cardio. Talk about a balanced breakfast.

      - -Freddie molded PAC into a complete fighter with a natural herky jerky style.

Mike Tyson and Roy in full pomp scarcely lost a round and were spectacular.

Wlad and Vitali were the same way, only less spectacular, instead substituting methodical beatings that resulted in bukos of KOs.

Absolutely… first that came to mind, when I saw the thread!

          Are PED's allowed or not?

If so, Manny and RJJ are in the discussion

Let me put Jose Napoles name down, perfect blend of offense and defense. I feel Marquez deserves some kind of mention, seen as a counter puncher but his offense on the rebound and his combinations were incredible to watch, both of them are poetry in motion.

I agree on both. Marquez, though not an all out attacking fighter per se, had an excellent offense with great creativity and technique. He threw the best combinations of the last 20-30 years no question.

I think Arguello and Jofre had incredible offenses too. Jofre had every single punch to head and body mastered and Arguello really threw beautiful punches, often in combination much like Marquez.

Louis, Holyfield, Olivares would be some others. Olivares was a terror and his left hand was out of this world. Could make you piss for days or go to sleep.

Just reminded me actually, a little treat for yourself if you haven't seen it.

                    Uploaded this awhile ago.

Nothing serious obviously, but it's a fun watch if you're a fan of both men, seeing Jofre still pumping that jab non stop always makes me smile.
