Salvador sanchez was the best fighter ever

Featherweights mature quickly.
What made Sal so great was his stamina and counting ability. Most counter punchers are defensive, but not Sanchez, who IMO lacked the top end hand speed to be considered the GOAT at his weight class. He could be out pointed. Many of his cards were a little too close to be considered the best even @126.
No doubt a fine fighter though who boxing lost way too young.Comment

No. You know Eusebio had the goods to potentially beat Salvador at 126. And a lot of others did also. Why not Express the truth? I think Salvador was top notch, but come on man, he wasn't God and even he knew that. So he decided to move up a couple of weight classes and try to challenge a fighter he probably had a 30% chance of beating.Comment

Sal has aged well in the pantheon, whereas Pedro not so well as a dirty fighter.Comment

Yeah, he did, plus he didn't avenge that draw where many thought he lost. Pedroza also had a couple losses as a youth before he got his right weight. I am sure if Salvador fought on another couple of years he would have a few losses, especially at 135, and Arguello just may have stopped him. Still feel Salvador ducked Eusebio, but hey, difference of opinion, all good.Comment
