Spinks beat the undisputed lineal hwt champion in a bruising battle.

RJJ accomplished NOTHING in beating a contender in Ruiz.

Spinks became the undisputed worlds hwt champion.

Ah, the refuge of the feeble minded; repeating what you say without making any further arguments in the hope that repetition will somehow make you correct.

The fact that RJJ did not beat a true champion is the overriding point. Jones exploited the watered down nature of boxing in order to claim a worthless paper title. Ruiz at no time was worlds hwt champion.

Mickey Walker, a middleweight, beat quite a few hwts. He legitimately went into the hwt division to make himself a contender and fight for the championship. Walkers draw with soon to be Hwt champion and then leading contender Jack Sharkey trumped RJJ feeble no balls effort against Ruiz who never attained the world championship.

--- When Roy beat jab and grab John, like it or not he entered in that rare pantheon of the greatest ever for the grazing herds of what counts as the boxing press.

Roy was the first $100 million fight purse, what he held out for as he held the WBA hostage for a year, but the finances weren't there.

Had he retired after the first Tarver fight, the Jellymans and Fat Dans would have permanently enshrined him as the GOAT.

Btw, Mr Field turned down the Roy offer to go get slaughtered by Fat Toney... The way it was...

He did nothing as the guy he beat never was the hwt champion. He beat a hwt contender akin to Walker wins over Uzcudun or Levinsky.

A fat James Toney repeated the feat two years after Jones, the only difference being Toney got caught.

so he didnt repeat the feat then.

So we continue to await someone to repeat it, whilst someone repeats false counters.

Your an idiot. Ruiz was NOT hwt champion of the world. He owned a paper title at a time where many contenders held paper titles. As worthless as toilet paper. Learn boxing history and see me in 15 years. Right now you are lost.

--- I'll have you know Lenny bequeathed the WBA lineal title to Johnny Jab and Grab for a couple million of King's dollars.

                    Show some respect!!!
