I've always felt Cortez blew that call and that cost Marquez the fight. Pacquaio landed a head butt in the second fight which opened a gory cut and it looked borderline intentional especially when he smiled right after it. He's usually clean (though many would claim perhaps on PEDs most or all of his US career) but I think he gained an advantage with that headbutt which the WBC used to take a point for perhaps for such cases.
Makes sense that Paq landed a headbutt. I remember watching an early fight of Manny's where he really hurts his opponent at some point and it was so quick that I didn't notice until the replay that it was a headbutt rather than a punch that hurt his opponent, so it seemed to be something he occasionally snuck in once or twice in his career.

Marquez landed some of his own headbutts in those fights. In the third fight he charged in with his head that opened up a nasty gash on PAC in the tenth round. Bradley and Horn are notorious for headbutts that opened up cuts on PAC.

Then Horn definitely should've lost by DQ or decision from getting points taken away. I wonder if Manny rematches him before he retires.

Horn should have had points taken, he was dirty the entire fight. I doubt PAC will rematch him. I think he is looking for bigger names before he hangs up gloves. If he gets the Matthysse fight and wins I suspect he may try to get that Khan fight he wanted.

If that judge did a poor job scoring round 1, I would imagine he did a poor job scoring the remaining rounds too.

This is the most accurate score in 3 fights.
