Well who of significance do you think Holyfield cheated in the ring? Tyson? One of the most obvious cases of heavy steroid and HGH use? 40+yo Foreman who could compete with young men by some miracle? Lennox Lewis and Rid**** Bowe who were tall lean stick figures as late as their early 20s and became monstrous muscled big men soon after?

I'm just saying, Holyfield fought in one of the most notoriously PED filled era of boxing. Drug testing was nonexistent and pretty much everyone was doing it. Evan was just a gifted specimen from God.

Nearly everyone he fought was a PED user including Mike Tyson who he spanked twice btw.

Took the words right out of my mouth... Its kind of ironic because you have the era leading up, the eighties, when guys obviously did not juice as much, we saw guys who looked a little on the soft side, fighting a full three minutes of rounds lol.

And here comes the 90's! The real question will always be: How much has this juicing helped athletes in boxing? It it helps men heal from injuries is it bad? What about when the actual steroidal affects become minimal and masked by the nutritional effects of drugs? that is something Comte was working on...before he became a steriod king he was a musician, then he developed a method, bought special machinery to create vitamin and mineral potations, and to test for very subtle nutritional deficiencies. Actually this was what he was known for in the athletic community.

Yeah the '80s was more about boxers and athletes in general using *******. Years after the fact, one of the Villanova players admitted to ******* use during the NCAA tournament in 1985 when they won the national championship, winning a huge upset over Georgetown in the finals to do so. Although that player said he didn't use the drug in the finals. I've also read that the thing that lessened runs scored and home runs being hit for a while in baseball had more to do with the banning of amphetamines than steroids. And before the controversy in baseball from the late '90s to 2000s, the steroid controversy existed in the NFL in the '80s. The Pride MMA promotion was notoriously lax with drug testing and many of their fighters were known to be "roided to the gills" to quote fans I've talked to about that era and even the UFC allowed TRT exemptions until recently, supposedly from lower testosterone due to steroid use in the past more than age. I guess boxing has gone through the same thing in the 2000s and 2010s? Don't boxers usually get tested after their fights though? And does anyone else to OST, Olympic Style Testing, or was that just for Mayweather's later fights?

I don't think Holyfield really gets much of a pass, but if he does at all, it's probably because his PED use wasn't discovered until later in his career. Didn't Evander even have an enlarged heart for a while, which postponed the second Bowe fight? Then it was said to have been shrunk down to normal size later, as a reaction to some kind of medication? Could that have been from taking steroids? I remember wrestler Brian Pillman used steroids and his death was from his enlarged heart I heard.

I thought he almost had a heart attack after the first Moorer fight is when they discovered the issue

I've always brought up the steroid thing and I think it absolutely taints his legacy, but you are right, nobody wants to talk about it.

Mayweather used USADA and was able to juice by paying them to give him "the****utic use exemption" for the masking agents. Floyd was a doper later in his career, likely EPO and some other PED's.

You do realize that the labs that tested Mayweather don't work for USADA, right?
