How do you see the rest of the fight going if rocky missed that punch? Would he have been outboxed the last 2 rds our would he have eventually caught Walcott. If he did lose the fight how do you see the rest of his career going? Would he get a rematch and beat Walcott or would he have to wait in line til the days of Patterson and Liston to get his shot again. Biggest of all if he did have 1 loss how would that affect his legacy?

Moorer was also, for a while outboxing Marciano, and Archie had a nice set of whiskers...

I think that during a 15 round fight, a puncher will get enough opportunities to be succesful against defensive movements....Louis Conn is another example of this "what if?"

I think we need those last 3 rounds though... 12 rounds changes the fight and makes it prohibitive for punchers to win. maybe thats why everyone seems to fight in the amateur fashion these days, and we don't see any body punches, feints, etc.

heres another question for you: what if all these fights mentioned, including Walcott, Conn Louis, etc had been 12 rounds?

If Marciano misses, he throws another right or a left hook and knocks out Walcott with that punch instead.
