I would say that while in American football, we all know a good quarterback from a bad... and while I can bring up the fact that Ken Stabler for example, was as mean, smart and dispeptic as an angry Rattler, we all know that Kenny was not in the league of a Patton Manning... Because in football there is no room for different levels of appreciation...
In boxing there will always be those who can look at a great fighter like Rigo, and understand the entertainment value of great technique and application, as compared to those who will never see those aspects but appreciate guys who give it their all. Hence prize fighting is bifurcated. That is why ATG means a lot more than HOF.Comment

Rigo is entertaining AF. Even just standing still the guy is hypnotic to watch. I love Rigo and I love Gatti. In real life I would prefer to fight like Rigo, but in my dreams I would fight like Gatti.Comment

I actually saw the Brits complaining that Hatton got passed this year and yes they are using Gatti as criteria on why he should be in there. And Hatton does deserve to be in there more than Gatti does IMO.Comment

I agree. Hatton was a superior fighter to Gatti and every bit as entertaining to the English fans.Comment

So does Gatti getting in open the door to Salido? Similar resumes, both action fighters, each two-division champions. Salido arguably has a better win (albeit dirty) over Loma and the steroid ordeal that cost him his title and a win over Guerrero. Thoughts?Comment
