All right, so McNeely wasn't a wuss. You know, watching that fight again, it's surprising to me that he (Pete) wasn't a little better given his style. He was pretty quick. He couldn't take much of a stroke though.
Byrd gets a vote among the well-knowns. Mathis Jr. slapped as well. I think I hit harder than Lawrence.Comment

I know most of you people are pretty ******ed so as usual let me give you some logic.First of all any persons in here who said somebody like Toney,Bryd, or Ezzard Charles are mentally ******ed.Non of these people were heavyweights. Both Toney and Bryd as we know were middlweights who decided to move up to heavyweight and Charles was a middleweight who decided to fight at 180 pounds which isnt a heavyweight.
One of the weakest punching heavyweights that i can think of is Taurus Sykes 230 pounds of heavyweight 24 wins 3 loses and only 6 knock outs. The man is a joke.Comment

This the only one going against him and was the most minor since it didn't change the end result.
We want boxing experts to tell us why it took Ali as champ so long after so much punishment to dispose of a club fighter that novice Big George disposed of with ease?
Where's the boxing experts when we need them?Comment

On a more serious side he did face some serious people in those six years, surprising names to see. But no matter, Ali couldn't **** out anyone.
I do agree he was given too many breaks; judging, refereeing, press, fan wise.
I had much respect for the man but never really thought him the GOAT by any measurement.
When I was a kid, quite young, I was the only kid on my block pulling for "Our Henry' in '66.
