  • Who was champ when you were born? check this out!

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...es-to-turn-117

Ok bare with me on this guys: This woman happens to be italian and is 117 years old making her the last person born in the eighteen Hundreds (1899).

If God really loved boxing fans he would have had her, as an infant taken by her uncle Milo the Black Sheep of the family (boxing in those days)...Who Just happened to attend the heavyweight championship of the world where he wrote a stunning, intelligent account of the battle between the smith and the athletic marvel:

Inspired mrs Emma Morano subbsequently attends the heavyweight fights and is cognizant enough to speak of them...But unfortunately Mrs Morano appears to be like most wonderful Italian ladies at the time...Anyhow here is how it stacks up:

At the time of Emma's Birth Bob Fitzy, the smith with the plexis punch, was dethroned by Jeffries..
. But Emma just missed Corbett! The gentleman banker with the Wall Street Wallop

Then while Emma was baking cookies and being treated for Anemia (apparently treated well!) Marvin Hart and Tommy Burns lit up the heavyweight stage preparing it for... a guy by the name of Jack Johnson. A man born just twenty two years before Emma!

Ah to have seen the world through the eyes of someone who has lived so long!!! My dad is 95 and remembers well the reign of his favorite fighter the Brown Bomber. I was teasing him about his stint on the Marine Corps boxing team, telling him he fought at the weight of Ray Robinson. I suggested he may have given him a run for his money...my dad's no dope! he laughed "I don't think so." lol.

Good to see many are still here, have been crazy busy with Real estate stuff! Could not get in on this account! Finally did.

It's funny, I was just watching the news, where they said, that an Italian woman now is the only living person born in the 19th century... and then I log on here to find this!

Anyway, it's been a while since I last saw you post here. I've been wondering, if it had something to do with the disappearance of Elroy! I mean, with him no longer here to kick around.. maybe you felt, your job had been done! But I see, that's not the reason.
