Either a fighter is the true champion or he is not. Holy was no doubt two time champion but that's it. Fighters of the past did not have the luxury of 4-5 hwt championships. Thus calling Holy anything more than two time champion is comparing apples and oranges.

          Holyfield makes the top 19.

Tye Fields was one of the toughest men ever to shlt through a meat as*hole.

He cannot beat Ali. This is so easy I will only discuss it for pay. Oh, sure, he can beat the one Leon Spinks beat. Is that Ali? Never mind, you want the prime.

He cannot beat Dempsey. The mauler simply thwacks too hard and can last.

He cannot beat Liston. Same as above.

Holyfield gives everyone else a life and death struggle if he does not outright whomp them.

Against non champions his big worries would be Golata and Ibeabucci. Ike's biceps might have Evander pretty scared. If he can be coaxed into the ring, Ike will submit him to the pom pom attack test of continuous fire.

Holyfield falls distinctly between 4th and 18th. I repeat: he is no worse than 18th.
Ill bet all my points against yours that Lewis would also beat Holy, and maybe Bowe...you wanna take that bet?

Holy was one of those guys that could be a handful for anyone. He had good activity level and power. The devil is always in the details and there is a reason why a well trained motivated Moorer beat him, not to mention Lewis and we should talk about Bowe, whom Holy beat when he listened to his corner and boxed. Holy could be beat with technical skills, and Moorer showed how a boxer puncher would do that. Holy also could be beat by a big man with skills as Lewis and Bowe showed.

No tiny man with skills could ever beat Holyfield.
