There is no fact that would prove what would happen between them at an earlier time. Your whole premise is just as ******ed as you are.

Just did, you big dummy. You guys try to do this with your fantasy fights all the time....which is merely what it says. Your own fantasy about what would happen. There is no fact that proves what you claim it does.

If you think losing 3 years of Ali's prime helped rather than hurt him, you're a bigger idiot than I thought. And I didn't think that was possible.

So again, what fact proves that Ali would have lost? Waiting....
Ali got f'ed by the Fed gov, and being treated like that for taking a stand, well, time does not come back, and trying to restore or replace what was taken away or denied, can't be fixed with any heart felt apology.

3 years outta a boxing career is like 10 or 12 years outta an office workers career. The realest thing that guys who get ostracized face, is trying to get back to where you could or should have been.

I know this from being down myself.

I agree, bro. We all suffered by missing out on seeing 3 years of prime greatness, but of course, no one suffered more than he did. It's a shame.

An opinion. There is no fact that proves what would happen earlier.

Stop lying to yourself. Everyone knows you don't have a ****.

Now, once again, was Ali more prime in '67 or '71?

Should Leonard have been able to beat Duran?

Because we all know that with all boxers, they only need to fight once. After that, the winner automatically wins every fight. Except...that's not how it works

But thank you for letting the entire forum know that Mayweather would have always beat Pacquiao. The fact that he won makes an earlier fight not necessary, right?

          Right????

Are you sure you meant that as a reply to me?

Are you talking to somebody else now?

You know how jealous I get, don't test me!

Taking a "stand"? The government that gave him everything told him to give back.

We can argue whether conscription is a good thing or not. Whether Viet Nam was a necessary war, or not. Whether it was fought well, or not. Most of us will have the same opinions and probably we'll all reach the same conclusion, but America had given Ali everything. To try and take a political stand was pretty pathetic.

Yeah, it's a long ass time. But he came back as if nothing had happened. He stopped Quarry and Bonavena: nothing pre-exile matches that.

He also only had to fight a prime Joe Frazier once. Even the rematch and rubbermatch took A LOT out of Ali. Imagine how bad it would have been for Ali if all three fights (if he could have ever beaten Frazier at all) would have been. He'd maybe be around for Foreman, but in what form? He doesn't fight Norton or Shvares, not for the title.

didn't other guys, go to prison or run to Canada to avoid going to war?

Exactly my point, you big dummy!!!! CLASS DISMISSED!

It's endearing that you're so obssessed with me that you spendyour late night hours tracking down my old posts.

too bad you don't put as much effort into thinking:

Does anyone think the Pacquiao of the Mayweather fight was as good as the guy from the Morales rubbermatch? Or the guy who blasted out De La Hoya and Hatton?

Same with Joe Frazier post FOTC: he was a faded fighter and he still batter Ali. Ali said he was never so close to dying as he was at the end of Manilla.

But again in both cases you go to the tape:

                - Pacquiao was always too small and wild to beat Mayweather. He struggled w/ the physically less impressive and less wiley Juan Manuel Marquez (who was schooled by Floyd).

                - Similarly the best Ali was battered and abused by Frazier. If Ali at 100% isn't good enough for prime Frazier, and just barely good enough to beat an old Fraizer, how does Ali at 80% beat a prime Frazier?

The idea that Ali would survive the late 60's unscathed is ridiculous. Each fight with Frazier would be like a car wreck. In the late 60's he didn't yet have the size necessary survive the onslaught, so even imaging that he'd do well enough to get a rematch is conjecture.

Yeah. And it was a ****** war. and forcing people to fight is a horrible idea.

But he's also made into a hero.

Those guys you're refering too aren't the topic of discussion; Ali is. But since you brought them up, how many of them were Olypic Champions making a fortune fighting for the Heavyweight World Championship? Ali complained about America, but he definitely got more out of America than pretty much anyone you'll ever meet has.
