I won't say blacks are the best Athletes, because guys like Pacquiao and Duran are phenomenal athletes - but overall especailly compared to whites only - blacks are superior athletically anyone can see this. If one were to argue for the whites I could say Italians had better chins for sure, and proved it. But Stocky purebread Italians pretty much no longer exsist.
Year in and year out, over 90 percent of the World's Strongest Man competitors are White. And what's more, the few non-Whites who are invited to the competition for "diversity's" sake, routinely place in the bottom half of the competition. Usually dead last or very near it.
White domination extends to all other strength sports as well. In fact, White men dominate any athletic endeavor founded in strength. Since their inception, they have dominated power-lifting and Olympic weightlifting competitions. They tend to predominate in the "field" events of track & field, Olympic wrestling (both freestyle and Greco Roman),
White dominated sports: Baseball, Softball, MMA, Kick Boxing ,soccer, wrestling, boxing is now white/hispanic dominated, weight lifting ,Strongman , swimming, hockey, golf, rugby, water polo, skating, nascar, tennis, bowling, cricket, cycling, fencing, horse racing, volleyball, surfing, archery, Arm Wresting shooting, rowing, sailing, triathlon, various winter sports, diving, and rowing.
Black dominated sports: Basketball,football ,Sprinting
Those who feel that blacks are the supreme athletes of the world and that this is due to their genetic makeup are perhaps subscribers to one, or many, of the numerous theories on the enhanced black body type. Chances are they grew up watching a disproportionate amount of black NBA players or professional boxers and, along with the gained information that blacks have “special” nerve endings, came to the conclusion that blacks are simply born better athletes than everyone else. It is an understandable mistake to make in today’s world of racism, misinformation, and biased media. Cant explain lefhooks abundance of ******ity on here thats something else altogether as usual .
I could go on but " pugilist " will have a heart attack ,the race bait is his thing so i'll stop. lolLast edited by juggernaut666; 01-04-2017, 09:33 AM.

True, but black people seem to dominate the sports Americans care the most about. NBA and NFL get huge ratings and salaries for the players and a lot of people probably watch track and field during the summer olympics.

Didn't say it did. Just said that white people dominate sports most Americans don't give a crap about, with the exception of baseball, which still does pretty well here. And boxing is white dominated because of all the guys from those eastern bloc countries, like Russia and Ukraine participating more, those guys are hardcore. When's the last dominant white American we had in boxing, Marciano? That's all I'm saying.

Well, I'm not going to add to all the racial back and forth on this one, Marciano beat everybody who was around at that time, regardless of their age or size. I think the real determining factor is the timeframe.
Rocky is from the old school and he (along with most of the early heavyweight champs*black or white) would have gotten taken apart by any contender in the post weightlifting era. Jack Johnson, Joe Lewis, Gene Tunney, would all have hit the canvas against the well conditioned and muscular (and possibly Roided out) heavyweights of our time. To be honest I think even Gerry Cooney or Tommy Morrison could have heard him bad.
That said, his undefeated record, his domination of the division, and his fearlessness to take on bigger and more experienced fighters puts him in the top 10 on achievements alone.
..........And one last thing, keep in mind that Rocky Marciano had great reverence for the black fighters he went up against. I know race relations in America aren't that great right now, but that definitely says something. Hopefully we all can appreciate the achievements of our boxing heroes regardless of their melanin count.

It doesn't matter to me what color Marciano is.
Based purely on his demonstrated skill set and on his resume I simply don't think he is a top ten all time heavyweight.

what is it with these dudes and race....Marciano benefittied from fighting in a weak era......before patterson and Liston.....and after Louis was washed up...moore was ancient.....Walcott was almost 40.....his best win is definitely charles....he went life and death with a guy who fought most of his fights at 160-175...not top ten all time in my book

This is a silly thread. As if this is some controversial amazing statement. Nobody would rank Marciano much higher than 10th all time heavyweight. In fact, depending on your criteria, putting him around #10 to #15 seems pretty reasonable.
If the thread said, "Marciano is not a top 20 heavyweight", okay maybe then you're dissing the guy. A little.
It depends on your criteria...but I mean nobody really ranks Marciano much higher than #10 or so.

Hispanics of the Americas are not really whites, they have much injun blood which is mongol. My Nords are (or used to be) pure white. Physiologically that means the cross section of their bones is wider. Whites have bigger bones, though maybe not boners. The strongest whites will snap the wrists of the strongest blacks in arm wrestling. Bone cross sections are foundational to the limits of human strength. An abundance of fast twitch fibers is essential to boxing in the black style--and yes, there is one, so let's not get into that. Not every black fights in the black style. There is nothing particularly black about Timothy Bradley's syle, for instance. He fights like a lot of white fighters fight.
I found it a bit amazing that not a single white fighter fights successfully in the pure black style. Johnny Tapia may have been the last truly successful one.
White fighters who have an evasive defensive game generally fight in the white man's variation of it, which is stiff and straight up, using lots of legs, without the fancy frills. Two known exceptions to this are Willie Pep and Nicolino Locche, who could match any black in history for speed and fancy moves. There will of course be other exceptions, but I believe these are the two most notable. Right now, no white I can think of fights in the pure black style and is great. Tyson, of course, did not fight in the black style, but retained super-explosiveness from the style Damato forged.
The archetypal expression of the black style is found in Ali, who took many of its elements to an exaggerated level.Last edited by The Old LefHook; 01-16-2017, 12:36 PM.
