    Bob Foster 1938-2015

I want to pay respects to one of the ATG lightheavies, Bob Foster. Foster was champion when I started following boxing, and he remains one of my all time favorites. Foster had the patience of a hunter and would use his long jab to set up the KO, usually with a wicked left hook. He was also a terrific finisher, so if he hurt you, forget about it. His fights above 175 were disappointing, but Foster is someone who might of benefited greatly from modern "supplements".

    RIP to a great champion.

The hardest two punchers, in Boxing History, was both beanpole fighters. Bob Foster & Thomas Hearns ~ Reg Gutteridge!

I had not heard the great one died. Maybe I missed it or just forgot. His lefhook was so good his right gets overlooked. It wasn't bad either.

Great puncher, one of, if not the best light heavy...had to take "light heavy burden" (moving up to heavyweight when one cleans the division out) when a fellow by the name of Ali ruled the roost! Hit Quarry so hard it is said the picture of Quarry's beetle cut coming to a point, inspired the Mohawk! (just kidding).

                  RIP champ.

When people think of Bob they think of his left hook but his jab was the first to open a cut ali
