What does Hagler vs Leonard have to do with Leonard in prime fighting GGG?

Why do you have to SEE Leonard at 159? Can't you see him at 147 realizing come fight night he weighed 160?
Skills don't deminish drasticly over a 10 pound increase.
First off GGG hasn't faced ANY ATG's and Leonard has many times, that means something.
GGG's power doesn't translate as much against Leonard compared to his current opponents. Leonard has been in with solid guys and GGG hasn't!

Leonard and hagler both were close to being shot.. I really don't see how late 80s leonard could keep golovkin at bay..

LMAO... hey idiot, get some reading comprehension skills.. no one was talking about hagler,, we were talking about leonard, who did make all the demands..
Reading comprehension is a must if you are going to be on a forum

I can see your point, but unfortunately we never saw a prime leonard at 160.. But i agree, leonard had it been in 81-83 could be too much for golovkin.. But the late 80s leonard that fought hagler, hearns 2, duran 3, ladonde,, I'm not sold on that version beating golovkin..

I read his bio I'm pretty sure he said that actually did happen. And that got dropped too. Been awhile sense I read it though.

Unless GGG's power is truly mythical. I don't honestly think he hits any harder then Hagler. I mean yeah he's got knock outs but not over anyone great and not over anyone who wasn't brought in there to lose. I think Leonard takes his power and out boxes him he's to savvy and knows how to rack up points and wouldn't fall into the traps that ggg sets but it'd be close considering he at that point didn't have the legs to move a full 3 mins. But who knows

Oh I see late 83, on a Thurs nite, after a big meal, Leonard?

Listen fellows when your fantasy match making your going with the best
of what each fighter produced. Leonard weighing at 147 weighs 157 come bell time! I'll give GGG 10 pounds over Leonard at Leonards best all day long.
Leonard would have a reach advantage and thats a good edge when you have an outstanding jab. He has lateral movement and speed that can also
aid the jab. Leonard had shown good skin and didn't lump up terribly.
I like GGG especially in this era where fighters who are earning more money than their skill set deserves talk **** throughout the training then quit on their feet for not even TRYING!

nite boys game is coming back on, Ray

Yep, pure destruction frankly. Even Pac, as good as he is, would have nothing for Leonard. He's not going to win by dec and he wouldn't hurt Leonard. In fact I see that fight ending by TKO.

                As for the others...well...

No need to even go there.

Prime Leonard beats every fighter today in the welterweight division.

I think he goes undefeated against all of today's welterweights. Pac would be a fun fight for him but especially at this stage, Leonard beats him, too. I'm not even a big fan of Leonard but he would clean out the current division no problem.

Another way to look at it is what weakness could be exploited by any welter today against leonard? It all becomes very clear. Leonard was fast, he had power to spare, could move all day.

Sure Duran had success, then again it is said that Einstein did not like Bohr's ideas related to Quantum Physics....doesn't mean a typical physicist is ready to argue with Einstein regarding his opinions of Heisenberg's uncertainty principle!

A fighter like Benitez was so locked up agianst Leonard that he sat in a defensive shell...and he still got dropped once that fight.
