good point about holyfield/oscar, difference is, holyfield often beat the better opponents and sadly oscar ended his career by losing his biggest fights, although we shouldnt forget what oscar did in the 90s.

The resume of Evander Holyfield is certainly way up there near the top. You have only a few boxers who beat so many good opponents.
I think that it's fair to say that Holyfield could be considered 4th in resume behind LEnnox Lewis and both Klitschko's.
I would say that the total body of opponents of Holyfield's resume might be considered better than that of Vitali Klitschko- but that of course negates the obvious fact that Holyfield LOST a lot of those fights. In fact Holyfield's HW record is only 26-10.
I rate Holyfield's resume ahead of Bowe's but Bowe ahead of Holyfield H2H.
The resume of one Muhammad Ali is mentioned in the opening post, laughingly positioning it at number one. Of course this kind of cancerous meme is to be expected here so rather than ridicule such statements I think it best too counter it with a proper placement.
Like Holyfield, only part of Ali's record was actually at HW- but unlike Holyfield who fought his lesser opposition at Cruiser and by the time he foought at HW was against always goood opponents- Ali on the other hand fought cruisers and heavies mixed through whole career.
Continuing this logic, it's observable that the skilled opponents of Ali were in fact the cruiserish ones and the real heavies he fought, majority bums.
The exceptions for which he is famous all invlove great circumstances that assisted a Muhammad victory which only beome evident when the actual fights are watched. OF course this also reveals Ali really lost many of those fiights too.
This exposure can go on for much longer but the end result is that the resume of Muhammad Ali might be considered to be top 50, but certainly not top 20 even!
And considering only the cruiser opponents, that record would not rate at cruiser really at all.
Holyfield was resume wise to date imo- the ost accomplished American fighter of all time, with Tyson and Bowe likely vying for the H2H spot with him.
