Exactly. Heavyweight wise, who ever had a better resume than Ali?!

With Ali the argument is simply not just his wins and level of competition. The technical skill, cat-like reflexes, stamina, durability, and ring intelligence are what put him on the top HW list. The greatest P4P list would be a different argument that is more subjective.

If you look at the film when he fought Cleveland Williams that was almost an immaculate execution of the sweet science.

Well you are throwing out logic..Williams was handicapped ,suffering from a leg disease as well and lost over 50% mobility in his movement,he was fine to fight years prior to that. Why this is one of the most mismatched fights of the time and is always the number one reference to Alis skills is beyond me.There was not much technical about Ali of the 60's but his foot work which is all not that technical running around slower footed guys. That Ali would not beat foreman of 74.He needed the better precision stronger punches and chin which with the bigger frame he had got him it,this is what he developed in the 70's.

Everything else you said was correct.Whers hes put in general is up for debate.

Ali's best performance was Thrilla in Manilla.

All one has to do is watch film of Ali avoiding multiple punches with slight movements...it shows how incredible he was.
