Well i would have a wager on these fighters to beat any version of Marvin Hagler.
Sam Langford
Freddie Steele
Marcel Cerdan
Carlos Monzon
Ray Robinson

Gene Fullmer
James Toney
Roy Jones Jr.

Sam Langford---possibly
Freddie Steele---doubt he had enough pop to keep Hagler honest.
Marcel Cerdan---possibly
Carlos Monzon---possibly
Ray Robinson---yes
Stanley Ketchel---yes
Mickey Walker---possibly
Gene Fullmer---no
James Toney---no
Roy Jones Jr.---no
Bernard Hopkins---no
LaMotta, Greb, Burley, H.Williams, Zale, Fitzsimmons, D. Tiger, T. Flowers
theres more who were capable, when solid fighters fight one another they could easily split between them.
Toney and Jones were not top all time middleweights they were much more accomplished at ligh heavy.
Hopkins against the best would get out worked, at one time he was much better than the past 15 years Hopkins but then again fans today don't know what their watching anyways. Their like novice horse racing fans its about the catchy nick name or trunk colors! HA!

Gene Fullmer would "clubber" Marvin Hagler... Fullmer would be the toughest man Hagler would have ever faced in his life. Fullmer would have little difficulty beating up Hagler IMO.
Roy Jones Jr. would "play with" Hagler before knocking him out. i could see Hagler doing a "No Mas" against Jones after 4 or 5 rounds. Roy would make Hagler look like a man in slow motion. i would fancy Roy to knock Hagler cold.
James "Lights Out" Toney vs Marvin Hagler - No contest... Toney is better at every aspect of the sport of boxing. i see this fight playing out just like Toney vs Charles Williams....
Bernard Hopkins 6'1" vs Marvin Hagler 5'8" hmmmm Hopkins easily.

Sonny why do you always have to bring a guy's age to the table? I wasn't born when most of my favorite fighters were fighting but that doesn't mean people can't watch their fights and study them. Last Round's age didn't even have anything to do with the question he asked.

...........Are you claiming Roy Jones Jr. and James Toney were never middleweight champion of the world????
Not at all, their very good boxers and have accomplished alot. However I think Hagler is better at the 160 limit. Nothing personal to James or Roy as opposed to you who seem to enjoy "hating" Hagler. Can't imagine why anyone would hate any fighter unless its actually personal.
Hagler was always in shape and always gave a good account of himself.
He fought fairly often for his period and has one of the better records for a Middleweight. If you don't think so thats ok by me, I don't have any reason to hate Hagler or any other fighter. Some I have high respect for and others not so much but theres no room for hate in sports. More of a like .....dislike!
