Dempsey sure had a contraversal loss! that second Tunney fight with the lojg count....

Actually how about when he fought that madman from South America and they had to throw him back in the ring? that was a bit contraversal.

Thanks for the information. Very interesting. There goes my first two picks.

        Michael Spinks at lightheavyweight only

Jesus I haven't even begun to consider them all.
I find that Spinks over Holmes in both matches is controversial to this day among posters. You added light heavyweight, not me. I implied career.

Yeah I had in mind those fights when I posted. Fair enough to scratch Spinks if the total career is the timeline.

Unsubstantiated rumors of juicing for the fourth Pacquiao fight.

No controls called for in the fight contract however. You could assume the worst about your opponent and anything goes. Big bucks boxing.

Ok, so controversial decisions...in terms of Rocky, I guess the closest iffy decision may be the Charles fight, full 15 rounds, Charles winning a lot of the early rounds but Marciano finished so damn strong that it's hard to argue against him imo. But yeah, both guys hit so hard, they didn't really allow controversial decisions.

I can't think of any controversial decisions for Tyson either, was it Smith that took him to a decision in a close fight? But I still remember Tyson deserved the nod.

Has Wlad ever controversially won a decision? He has been KTFO and can be considered an ATG but when it comes to decisions, he pretty much wins comfortably. Same may go for Vitali and Lewis.

I know this isn't a win but JMMs draw against Pacquiao was controversial, considering one of the judges couldn't count and if he did Pac would have got the win. The MAB fight is held as controversial by some.

Hopkins is a good pick actually, I forgot about him. After his loss to Jones, he won most fights at MW quite comfortably, even if some were ugly or boring. He did the same with Tarver at LHW and with the 2 Pascal fights, in fact the first fight could also have been a win for him.

That's why Rocky rematched him and got the stoppage win in one of his title defenses to show he was the better fighter overall.
