His opposition at 135 was solid. And anyone questioning it just needs to see his move to 140 and his dominance over Chavez as proof he could hang with the best in history. I personally found pea boring, much like I did Wlad, but he could fight and was highly skilled. There is no doubt about that.

I pretty much agree with this. Pea was one of the best defensive boxers in history. Back then, I always knew he'd win and I also knew that the fight would be an eye-sore.

I actually had Ramirez just winning.

The wiley old veteran new what he was doing and threw with
much better quality. Great for a fighter who was SOOOO past it.
