History will be very kind to Marquez

That KO of Pacquiao, the timing of it, the devastation, It will go down as the most impressive fight that occurred between the big 4. (Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto, Marquez)

Its the most watchable and aesthetically pleasing fight of this era and will get over-rated over time like Hearns win over Duran.

For so many reasons...many people, myself included, felt Marquez got shorted on the decisions and while we hear so many times about a fighter taking the fight out of the hands of the ref, how many times does it happen? Marquez did it. To add to the intrique, Pac was getting the better of Marquez in that fight.

History should be kind to Marquez regardless of the fourth Pacquiao fight.

Marquez-Pac 4 was one of the best fights I've ever seen.

Cotto should never be mentioned in the same breath as Floyd, Manny or JMM.

The amazing part about all of this was that he spent so long in the shadow of his brother. Nobody thought Marquez would rise to the occasion like he has over the last 5 years with wins over Juan Diaz, Casamayor, Pacquiao (starched him), Mike Alvarado, Barrera, and Katsidis. amazingly most of this was done above his prime weight. Proves his style while not popular with many mexicans at the time, had more longevity than his brother had who was finished and shop worn with those wars against Isreal Vasquez (imo)

Unfortunately he's gonna get the Larry Holmes treatment, as in his constant whining will turn people off and in turn discredit his career.

                  Why overrated?

It was a great fight between two great fighters and a great ending to their 4 fights.

Honestly Marquez is the best fighter out of Morales, him and Barrera. And i dare to say he is on the same technical plane as Floyd. Their fight was just such a mismatch because of the speed and reach difference.
