Wlad would be undefeated if he fought Lewis opposition.

I seriously doubt this. For a start Wlad would have to be the Wlad of today - not the Wlad of ten years ago because he's definitely going down against four - possibly five of Lewis' opponents.

I mean, maybe Shannon Briggs, Ray Mercer, Ruddock, Tua etc. aren't top tier guys. But you can't begin to suggest they'd struggle with some of Wlad's toughest opponents. David Haye? Puhleeze!

Lewis might not have fought Ali standard opposition. But he fought damned good opposition.

Wlad, on the other hand, has almost succeeded in spite of himself.

Wlads chin would never survive an onslaught from the version of Holyfield that Lewis fought.

It's not just Holy. When you look at Lewis' career he really did fight a lot of heavy handed guys.

Granted someone like David Tua would have a hard time tagging Wlad today. But Wlad at the start of his reign?

Ruddock? Briggs? Even Grant was throwing bombs before Lewis put him to sleep.

And let me guess: Ross Purity, Lamont Brewster and Corrie Sanders would destroy Lewis right?

most definitely Corrie Sanders. who was a 6ft 6ins power-punching southpaw. Sanders chased Lewis all his career for a fight, he fought on the Lewis vs McCall (1) undercard in London 1994. billed in the fight programme as Lewis next opponent.. Bob Arum said Wlad musta been crazy to fight Sanders and Lewis would have went the same way if he had fought him...

Wlad was never knocked out... Lewis has been poleaxed TWICE. Wlad lost through exhaustion, he was never put to sleep like Lewis was by two mediocre punchers.. Corrie Sanders would be the hardest puncher, even harder than Ruddock, Tua or Mercer.

Holyfield could barley handle a 43 year old holmes..Wlad would systematically pick him apart..holyfield never did well with length fighters..Bowe showed this as did Lewis.Wlad would beat anyone Lewis fought without question.i think wlad may have even k.od lewis in place of vitali because Wlad was more reckless but an offensive machine that hit harder than Vitali and would be well aware of lewis dangerous punches unlike sanders..They are both even but I go with Wlad if hes at his best.

Ruddock never connected and hardly thru anything, had he connected it would have been lights out the other way.Grant and Biggs are not Wlad caliber even before Steward took over his training.Wlads offensive skills were by far better than ruddocks at anytime,he just a better all around fighter and even better power puncher.

Based on what? Wlad couldn't stay undefeated on his own resume.
