Yes i agree 100% with you. Bowe and his team blew it big style by publicly dumping the WBC belt. They said, "UP YOU" to the WBC who was about to strip him of their belt. But it looked like Bowe was afraid of Lewis by doing it.

What they don't want to mention is that after Lummox was handed the title in the mail, Bowe's camp offered him a 60/40 split and guaranteed 11 mil purse for a unification bout which again would have made Lummox many times than he had ever made in his career until that point but he turned it down because he knew Bowe was going to do a demolition job on his soft jaw.

In conversation with yourself again troll? I never rubbished the Los Angeles times or the Telegraph I rubbished the Post...BTW I grew up in New York City with the Post Daily News and Times. The only agenda the Post ever spoiled was that of reactionaries and sensationalists who are generally speaking, incapable of reading objectivily.

At least the Daily News had some decent columnists includint the great Jimmy Breslin.

Lennox Lewis had a hard fight with Mercer after he was kind of still on the comeback trail, at least in many people's eyes. Wasn't a champion. Mercer was probably better than Moorer despite Moorer having a belt. He had also just fought Morrison who was making some noise and then went after McCall. In hindsight it sounds good, but it wasn't really reality.

Lol at Foreman. Do you honestly think Foreman would have fought Lewis at 46 years old? I don't know what you're on, but I'd like some of that.

He tried to fight Tyson, was even a mandatory. Political reasons made sure that fight didn't happen at the time. He obviously also tried to fight Bowe. Rock Newmann didn't want that fight to happen, everybody knows that in 2015, even if they didn't in '93.

Who Witherspoon? The guy who was suing Don King? GTFO. was never going to happen in '94.

Who did Sanders beat? The guys was never even in the top 10 ffs. Lewis would have never been allowed to fight him on HBO. Wlad was about to get his shot but got brutally knocked out by Sanders.

Before that he was trying to make sure the fight people actually wanted to see, Tyson, was happening and of course avenging his defeat to Rahman.

its a fact that Bowe offered Lewis $10 million to fight in 95, its a fact Lewis turned down $10 million in 96 to fight Tyson, Lewis himself on SKySports just recently claimed he "avoided southpaw Michael Moorer".. its a fact that Sanders fought on the undercard of Lewis vs McCall at Wembley Arena (i was there) in 1994 and was next in line for Lewis. Sanders was looking for a fight with Lewis throughout the 1990s. Lewis boasted, "One brother for breakfast, the other brother for Tea".. yet after Vitali wanted no part of Wlad, Larry Holmes offered to fight Lewis in 1993/94 you can read the details in Holmes Autobiography, "Against the Odds".
