    And you can't choose Ali.

    Sonny Listen's had a very impressive run all the way up to Patterson. I don't think he was in his prime anymore when he got to PAtterson but he pretty much beat everyone that was ranked during his time.

    So lets hear it.

      these are good choices but Liston in his prime was scary and to be 100 per cent sure against anyone is very hard to be sure of.

        Very nice and dignified picture of Night Train.... Poor guy had such a bum rap at times...he deserved better imo.

        Liston, among other things was such a complete fighter...Its kind of a toss up with most of the other great heavies. I do like Young as a spoiler! that was a good choice

          I'm not 100% sure about any fantasy matchups involving great fighters

            Prior to Liston;

            Joe Louis by KO
            Ezzard Charles via decs.

            I think Schmeling could give Sonny a good fight and might decs. him, maybe.
            Baer might catch Sonny too and hurt him, Baer had unusual power.
            Other than those few Sonny was a monster leading up to Ali.

            Marciano vs Liston would have been a burner but people don't realize that when Rocky had to stop Sonny was just breaking into 10 rounder fights.

            I believe Rock gets to him but the intrigue in that one could match any heavy fantasy bout I think.

            Ray.

                  Big men with good-great jabs and enough power to also rock Liston's world.

                    I think we all know Liston beats Marshall 9 times out of 10.
