If they fought after Ali's three and a half year break, Marciano would have an even better chance of winning as Ali had a tendency to get lazy as a fight wore on and allowed his opponents to work.

I don't think either could knock the other out. Marciano could win by decision. I think Five times out of ten Rocky would win.

George Foremen would destroy Rocky Marciano every time though.
    Marciano would retire Foreman.

    • Marciano is one of the most underrated fighters among boxing circles online that I have ever seen. There is a reason Walcott, Charles and Moore couldn't beat him and it wasn't because of age. Marciano has an underrated defense and his size would only make it harder for today's oversized, out of shape heavies to hit him.

              • Marciano is a product of his era, after WW2, competition was what it was, himself a 175-pounder vs other small "heavyweights"... Clay/Ali feasted on those small boxers, even if at times he had very tough ones like with Doug Jones... But Marciano is really too small, short and slow, Clay/Ali has all the advantages except power...

Walcott was in prime condition, Charles was still good, and Moore was on a huge win streak. Marciano beat plenty of top contenders in his era on the way up who were quality fighters they just weren't atg's.

Edit: I didn't say blubbery losers I said out of shape. There is a big difference.

walcoot - pushing 40 and had lost to many men. wasnt surprising he retired immediately afterwards.

geezard charles - 95 fights into his career. loses 15 fights afterwards. hardly prime.

moore the compiler - pushing 40. 175 fights into his career. not prime.

i can say rockys resume leaves much to be desired.

Walcott was at his best and better when he was champ then when he was younger. Charles had knocked out Satterfield, Layne, and Wallace all in the last year before he fought the rock. Moore had lost twice in the last 7 years against top competition. One loss of which he was well ahead on the scorecards. Definitley not a beat fighter.

Boxing isn't black and white. You have to look at things on a case by case basis. One guy could be past prime at 32 whereas another guy could still be prime at 34.
