Why is Robinson even in the thread title? We all know he was scared of Papa Burley and Uncle Archie

My favourites are Charles, Moore and Lytell.

The greatest of course being Charles and Robinson.

I've been posting my division by divison all time rankings on here for a while now (hope some of you will have read them) and I have to say it has genuinely bothered me that I left Lloyd Marshal off my lists. He could and probably should have been ranked at both light heavy and middleweight. Yet I left him off both.

I have plenty of **** going on in my life yet when I get a quiet moment to reflect on things it is the question of where to rank Marshal that still plagues me.

It bothers me that he is so overlooked, yet I have overlooked him myself.

                    For shame!

All I can say is this: Guys who can rank, and do it with care and thought get my respect. I have a very hard time ranking fighters who are great and in the same class...I get to figuring that some of the decisions no doubt were off, that maybe but for a bad camp, or a bad day, history would be different... I feel much more comfortable understanding that fighers exist in "classes."

This seemingly trivial point defines for me the feelings I get watching Klitschko fight a guy who, in most sports would be an amateur, while people gush.... It defines for me the accomplishment that a guy like Miguel Cotto achieved when, while not able to beat Mayweather, was competative, in the same class....

What is wonderful is that Moore Robinson and Charles left us a lot of material with which to evaluate their skills.
