Yeah. Joseph said nothing to the dude that would warrant that kind of response.....especially in THIS section.

He's won some belts 3 times, but has really only been the champion for one fight - but didn't even beat the champion. Against the might Danny Williams. He won the belt against Corrie Sanders - Who? some might ask.

He might have a high KO % - but who has he knocked out? Sam Peter? Corrie Sanders? Chris Arreola? None of these fighters were ever considered anything but solid fighters for their era. they were never elite, nor have they ever been thought of as elite.

All three had weight problems when fighting Vitali as well - none came into the fight in shape.

He's had a lot of defenses as well. However, he only has 6 top 10 victories in his whole career. How is that great?

Now, let's compare to Muhammad Ali.

As a 22 year old he beat the legitimate, genuine heavyweight champion of the world. The guy people thought nobody could hurt or beat. People thought he was inhumane. Liston was considered the best heavyweight since Marciano and was destroying everyone and had been doing so for years. Ali was an 8-1 underdog, yet still won. When has Vitali overcome such hard odds? Ali beat Liston again in a rematch, though he was still a 5-1 underdog for that fight.

He went on to beat WBA champion Earnie Terrel, the #1 contender Zora Folley, former champion Floyd Patterson, top 5 Cleveland Williams.

After he came back, he took a fight against a prime Joe Frazier too early. He lost a close decision, but beat him in a rematch. Then goes on to beat the guy who bounced Frazier around like a basketball and had finished Ken Norton in a couple of rounds. Probably the biggest upset in heavyweight history, in my eyes probably bigger than the Liston fight - albeit very comparable. Probably the most memorable heavyweight fight of all times.

He then goes on to fight a decider with Frazier, who was slightly passed it, but not as much as Ali thought. It was the greatest fight of all times - a true test of two mens heart and courage. They fought in 40 degrees for 14 rounds and it was war every round.

After manila, when he should have quit, he went on to make some 'easy' defenses against, amongst others, Earnie Shavers and Ken Norton! Shavers was stronger than Foreman and Liston! and punched harder.

He lost to Spinks when he was way past his sell by date but won the rematch quite clearly and won the legitimate heavyweight championship 3 times. Has 19 defenses of his title and fought some of the greatest fighters of all times, and was in the greatest fights. He was the underdog so many times, yet still doesn't have a losing record to anyone other than Holmes and Berbick when he was really too old, had parkinson's and fought for money.

And that's just the in ring achievements.
If that doesn't get through to him then nothing will.

That's right. And as a fan of the brothers, this thread is an embarrassment to me. Maybe if I were back in NSB I wouldn't be this surprised, but I guess fanboys are going to fanboy, no matter who their idol is.

Weltschmerz, you are allowed to have your opinion, but do not get rude when someone does not agree. If you wish to continue having access to this section.

Weltsputz is really a collective hollogram of all the Klitschko idiocy. As an artificial entity he gains consciousness through the boxing scene program and gains energy when a certain population of Klitschko fans get so preposterous the fallout has to go somewhere. Weltsputz is that fallout, fashioned to be relentless....

now here is the thing to be aware of for the sake of the mods and this section, you can predict with 99.9% accuracy exactly where the Weltsputz program terminates, much like one could predict where Hegel's dialectic would wind up...

So here, for your scrutiny is the termination code for "Weltsputz version 111:"

Poster: "What? it sounds like you are saying Vitali is not even human!"

Weltz: "Vitali is the attribute that surpasses Godliness, he could take God with the gloves on."

            poster: "okay I guess. Ok!"

            Program terminated, objective attained. Reboot.

Well damn... Mind bending drugs available in Denmark now..

To be an atg, you have to beat one.. Vitali didn't, it's as simple as that

You have to at least be the man in the division beating the best around him. Wlad doesn't have an ATG on his resume but he's beaten almost all the best available and been the best fighter in the division for the better part of a decade.when all is said and done that longevity and willingness should earn Wlad a place in the top 10 or 12. Vits missed 3 plus years, but the biggest thing that detracts from his standing is he missed fighting a lot of top fighters while he was active. In an era such as this, if you're not cleaning house you shouldn't be considered great.

Now h2h is a different story. But I've never heard of a credible person basing their all time standing on a "what if" scenario.

I like both brothers.. H2H I'd pick Vitali, but we both know they fought in a weak era of safe opposition. Not great imo
