Because in my subjective opinion, any of the 10 on my list (incl. Bowe) is better than those two. (Further proof that the debate will never be settled...)

A once in a lifetime fighter from the early eighties not on your list is Aron Pryor. He is
overlooked often, but he was a very special fighter. He had super endurance, and was
virtually unstoppable. He was avoided by a lot of big name fighters and only lost one
fight later in his career. He was the Hawk for a good reason.

Pryor to me is a lock for top 25, maybe top 20 of the post-ali era,, I just dont think he has done enough to warrant a top 10 ranking..
he was a great fighter, reminds me of a young manny at feather and superbantam, just a whirlwind of offense, that never backed down in a fight.
But like i said, i just dont think he is top 10 worthy IMO
And its sort of a myth that all the big names dodged him, duran offered him a fight in 1980, but pryor was switching managers and his lawyer advised him not to sign anything till the switch was over, but by that time duran had moved on. Also SRL offered him a fight shortly thereafter, but pryor from the accounts i have read, priced himself out

JMM is much like pryor in terms of ranking. Top 25 lock, maybe top 20, but was he has good as camacho, i dont think so,,, JMM was a very good fighter, but i rate barrera, manny and morales ahead of him.
JMM has had a great career, but i think alot of his success and praise is because of the manny fights.. JMM does have some solid wins over casamoyer, gainer, salido, diaz, but i thought he should have lost to MAB had the kd been scored correctly, and i also thought he lost the first 2 manny fights by one point each time. The way floyd toyed with him also doesnt help his case

Lewis is very close,, so are oscar, hopkins, tito,, I dont think tito and oscar are top 10, lewis and hopkins have a much better claim to that IMO.. Hopkins could be anywhere from 5-10, and lewis could be somewhere from 8-10.. I dont consider either top 10, but wouldnt argue too much if someone had them in there..

After a long internal debate i gotta go with

                      1. SRL- best fighter and one of my top 5 ATGs
                      2. Pernell- one of my top 12 ATGs
                      3. Hagler- top 20 ATG
                      4. Hearns- excellent fighter and career
                      5. manny- edge over floyd because of his career challenges
                      6. floyd- great fighter, probably the most skilled i have ever seen
                      7. holyfield- a walking tank in his prime, huge heart and will to win
                      8. Roy jones- Amazing talent, just doesnt have enough resume to rank any higher
                      9. Spinks- Great fighter, its a shame he is only remembered for the tyson ko
                      10. Chavez- from 85-88 he was an amazing little fighter and champion

Duran i left off, because i felt his best days were in the 70s, and post ali, he was still a top level guy, just cant make him top 10 IMO,
