He should have lost to De La Hoya. I guess judges were punishing Oscar for running at the end there. Nice analysis, by the way.

              Trinidad was a great fighter,

def a hall of famer, and borderline ATG, if he is an ATG, he is at the bottom 1% of ATGs

Great puncher, and it took a very special caliber of fighter to beat ie oscar, hopkins, winky..

Took on all comers, and was the rare puncher that got stronger as the fight went on..

all tito fights were the same

round 1. he would start off moving and jabbing, feeling out the opponent

round 2. he would still jab and throw some hard shots

              3. less jabs more power shots

round 4 and beyond- all power shots and he was walking you down..

and if he caught you early in round 1,2 or 3, then the jab goes out the window, and he is looking to destroy you with every punch, and if he got knocked down early, he would get up and be in destroy mode...

Easy to predict him, but hard as hell to keep him off you..

before the hopkins fight he was 40-0, 20-0 in title fights, and was knocked down 7 times, and all 7 times he rose up and not only won, bit ko'd the other guy..

his ko of an undefeated 54-0 yory boy campos was epic.. it was about a 4 inch punch that devastated campos.

He ruined many fighters ie blocker, vargas, reid, joppy, mayorga

A very special fighter, that just didnt have the adaptability to become a true ATG, never did figure out how to deal with a great boxer

I remember that fight well. dlh defintely out pointed tito but that last round was pathetic. tito was an awesome puncher but had some trouble with good movers or slick boxers

I agree. ive always felt he was underrated. the hops fight really hurt him but hops was just much too big and tito was on the downside imo by then. the dlh fight was close. dlh was very lucky it wasnt a 15 round fight like older times
