I thought george becomming a priest was really odd, why the hell would you do that in the middle of your prime!?

Yea Foreman had what it takes to beat most other HW champions thoughout history, I would have loved to see him fight Larry and Earnie!
The Jimmy Young fight was in the hot Puerto Rican sun. Foreman was winning easily, but totally gassed out and only made it to the finish because Young couldn't hit. Afterwards in his dressing room he was badly dehydrated and had what he called a religious experience. Witnesses said he was hysterical and hallucinating. The rest is history.

When I was watching Pernell's career set, he often talked about a fight with Camacho, I don't know why that never happened, I could see Sweet Pea winning a UD in that one.
yeah Pernell wanted Camacho bad for a long time and JCC at 135 too but they both ran to 140 after Whitaker changed his style in the Haugen fight Camacho would not give Whitaker a fight because he thought he was above Pernell then when Camacho wanted to make a comeback to prominence Whitaker repaid the favor and it was a favor by Whitaker he would have embarrassed Camacho for 12 rounds Camacho hated being hit in the body and only fought half rounds whitaker was a huge body puncher and fought for 33 minutes and clowned the last three camacho would not have had a chance but it would have been a fun fight to watch especially since I was a huge Whitaker fan

For me I've always been intrigued by Carlos Palomino and Pipino Cuevas never fighting in a unification match.

Also, Ike Quartey and Felix Trinidad. Mainly when Quartey was peaking at 147 after destroying Vince Phillips.

Earnie Shavers - Foreman (Foreman kept ducking him the pansy)
When Shavers faced big punchers he usually got the short end of the stick. His chin was shaky and that's bad news against Foreman.

Yes, Shavers could punch but he was never in Foreman's league as a fighter. Make no mistake about that.

I'm going on memory here, but I think Trinidad and Quartey were briefly scheduled to fight. Ike took the better paying DLH fight instead. This was when King and Arum were at the height of their promotional war.

As was I. There were few fighters I enjoyed watching more during the '90s. Only Chavez and De La Hoya even come close for me. Mayweather started his career in the second half of the decade. A smart, slick, defensive fighter, it's no wonder he;s a trainer now. Who does he train these days besides Judah? Any good prospects?

I am pretty sure he does not train Judah anymore he also trained Joel Julio and dorin spivey I have not heard anything from them for 3-4 years and I don't know if he is the primary trainer for any fighters these days to bad he does know a lot about boxing and trained under one of the best ever for 11 years in George Benton and probably knows more than most current trainers

Bowe vs Lewis was THE fight for me. What a freaking shame it never happened, just thinking about it now pisses me off
